About the Role

A rewarding opportunity for a passionate Dementia professional to join the HammondCare Team as a Dementia Care Specialist on a fixed-term full-time contract.

Bring your knowledge of supporting older people living with Dementia to work as part of a team providing expert advice and guidance on matters relating to excellent dementia care, both clinical and non-clinical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dementia-specific behaviour management recommendations and expert advice to reduce the impact of behaviours on people living with dementia, their carers and staff.
  • Work closely with colleagues and teams to provide information and data which reports statistics and information collected regarding calls and live chat.
  • Implement service improvement solutions across the team consistently and efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts throughout the week.

What We Need from You

  • Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.
  • Experience in Australian residential aged care and or community aged care.
  • High level of negotiation, communication and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Empathy and patience.
  • Relevant qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health highly desirable.
