We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dementia Adviser to join our team at Alzheimer's Society. As a Dementia Adviser, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to individuals diagnosed with dementia and their carers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support individuals affected by dementia, families, and carers to access vital services and resources.
  • Improve individuals' sense of well-being, enabling them to have more control over their lives.
  • Assist with the identification of needs, providing information and access to relevant services.
  • Promote our Dementia Advice service and build relationships with health and social care professionals.
Requirements:
  • Ability and interest in supporting individuals to maintain their independence and improve their sense of well-being.
  • Understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers.
  • Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels.
  • Able to network effectively and collaborate with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for individuals.
  • Good IT skills, experience working with databases and virtual meeting software.
  • The ability to travel independently when required.
