Your Responsibilities:

As a Dementia Care Specialist, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals living with dementia. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Providing companionship and engaging in meaningful conversations.
  • Preparing meals and assisting with grocery shopping.
  • Administering medications as prescribed.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 months of experience working as a carer in a home care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with elderly or disabled clients.
  • A deep understanding of the needs and vulnerabilities of older adults.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, manual handling, and health & safety standards.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
