As the Regional Dementia Care Specialist, you will be instrumental in assisting Dementia Care Managers with the effective implementation of the My Life Strategy.

Your prominent presence in clinical settings will enhance awareness, provide actionable solutions for families, and promote best practices within our facilities.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Specialist Nursing Assessment: Perform assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions, practical guidance, and emotional support to families of individuals with dementia, care team members, and, when suitable, the individuals themselves.
  • Operational Support: Aid Dementia Care Managers in executing the My Life Strategy, ensuring excellence in dementia care across our facilities.
  • Education and Training: Create and present educational programs for care home staff and families impacted by dementia, enhancing the skills and competencies of the care team.
  • Practice Development: Engage in the development, evaluation, and auditing of this specialized area of practice.
  • Bereavement Support: Provide assistance at all stages, including bereavement, to ensure comprehensive care for families and residents.

Professional Development:
You will have the opportunity to access relevant courses and grow professionally, guided by the Admiral Nurse Competency Framework. This framework will assist you in maintaining and enhancing your clinical expertise as a specialist nurse in dementia care.

What Signature Offers:

- £25.00 per hour, dependent on experience

  • A full driving license is essential as it is necessary to travel across our home portfolio as part of this role (Mileage expenses reimbursed)
