About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Affairs Officer to join our Policy, Campaigns, and Public Affairs team at Dementia UK. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving our long-term policy and influencing strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead impactful initiatives across Westminster, the devolved nations, and local government to raise the profile of Dementia UK, Admiral Nurses, and individuals living with dementia and their families among parliamentary and elected decision-makers.
  • Support the development and dissemination of briefings and materials for parliamentary debates and other related activities.
  • Stay informed about the political landscape and provide regular updates to colleagues through a weekly political monitoring report and briefing documents as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a parliamentary, policy, or related environment with a solid understanding of national, devolved, local, and parliamentary processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to identify and capitalise opportunities to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to organise and deliver impactful events and project management skills with an ability to prioritise workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
