Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Dementia Care Specialist Nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our experienced team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide evidence-based interventions, practical advice, and emotional support to families of people with dementia, care team members, and individuals themselves.
  • Collaborate with Dementia Care Managers to deliver the My Life Strategy, ensuring a high standard of dementia care across our homes.
  • Develop and deliver educational programs for care home team members and families living with dementia, enhancing the skills and competencies of the care team.
  • Provide support at all stages, including bereavement, to ensure comprehensive care for families and residents.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, guided by the Admiral Nurse Competency Framework, to maintain and strengthen clinical expertise as a specialist nurse in dementia care.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
  • Experience in dementia care and a passion for improving the lives of those affected by dementia.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
