We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Dementia Support Specialist. This is a fixed-term post until 30th September 2026, partnering with Cadent Gas to provide clear and up-to-date advice on energy efficiency and safety to people affected by dementia.
Key Responsibilities- Assist people with dementia and their carers in identifying their needs, providing information and guidance to maintain their independence and improve their sense of well-being.
- Build relationships with local contacts, networking with health and care professionals, and marketing Alzheimer's Society services and dementia support.
- Develop networks and pathways with partner organisations to ensure seamless and consistent support for individuals affected by dementia.
- Provide support face-to-face, by telephone, and online.
- You will be fluent in south Asian languages, mainly Urdu, and potentially Hindi.
- You will be empathetic and non-judgmental in your approach, with a commitment to equal opportunity.
- You will have good communication skills and a sound knowledge of IT systems.
- You will understand client confidentiality and be able to travel independently around North London.
- You will be asked to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
