About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Dementia Support Specialist. This is a fixed-term post until 30th September 2026, partnering with Cadent Gas to provide clear and up-to-date advice on energy efficiency and safety to people affected by dementia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist people with dementia and their carers in identifying their needs, providing information and guidance to maintain their independence and improve their sense of well-being.
  • Build relationships with local contacts, networking with health and care professionals, and marketing Alzheimer's Society services and dementia support.
  • Develop networks and pathways with partner organisations to ensure seamless and consistent support for individuals affected by dementia.
  • Provide support face-to-face, by telephone, and online.
About You
  • You will be fluent in south Asian languages, mainly Urdu, and potentially Hindi.
  • You will be empathetic and non-judgmental in your approach, with a commitment to equal opportunity.
  • You will have good communication skills and a sound knowledge of IT systems.
  • You will understand client confidentiality and be able to travel independently around North London.
  • You will be asked to apply for an enhanced DBS check.
