We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team in Barking & Dagenham. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering and coordinating relationship-centred dementia care to improve the experience of carers/families affected by dementia with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist dementia nursing expertise and support to those affected by dementia, with a specific focus on family carers, who experience difficulties within a defined locality of Barking & Dagenham.
- Offer expertise and guidance to professional colleagues, the general public, and others in supporting family and relationship-centred approaches and best practice in dementia care.
- Assist with the development, evaluation, and audit of this specialist area of practice and of the Admiral Nursing service.
- Registered Nurse (RN/RNMH/RNLD)
- Postgraduate qualification in relevant field, or evidence of specialist training/education within the field of dementia equivalent to this level
- Evidence of continued professional development/training in relevant areas, including dementia and leadership
- Significant post-registration clinical experience of supporting people with dementia and their carers/families
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
- A long-standing and award-winning approach to equality and diversity with supportive networks for ethnic minority staff, staff with disabilities or long-term/chronic conditions, and LGBT staff.
