About the Role

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a passionate Dementia professional to join our team as a Dementia Care Specialist. This Fixed Term Full-Time Contract until June 2026 will be based at one of our offices in Perth, Yarraville, Malvern or Sydney.

As a Dementia Care Specialist, you will bring your knowledge of supporting older people living with Dementia to work as part of a team providing knowledge, skill and advice over the phone and via email on matters relating to excellent dementia care, both clinical and non-clinical.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dementia-specific behaviour management recommendations over the phone, via live chat and through phone support case management.
  • Provide advice to reduce the impact of behaviours on people living with dementia, their carers and staff.
  • Work closely with colleagues and teams to provide information and data which reports statistics and information collected regarding calls and live chat.
  • Implement service improvement solutions across the phone and live chat team consistently and efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts throughout the week.

What We Need From You

  • Expertise in supporting people living with dementia
  • Experience in Australian residential aged care and or community aged care
  • High level of negotiation, communication and relationship building skills
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Empathy and patience
  • Relevant qualifications in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health highly desirable
