Deputy Nurse Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Nurse Manager to join our team at Willing Care. As a key member of our care home, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Nurse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff to ensure high-quality care for residents
  • Develop and implement care plans and treatment protocols tailored to the needs of our residents
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident care and outcomes, ensuring individual needs are met
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff within the care home
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards related to care provision
Requirements:
  • RGN (Registered General Nurse) or RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse) qualification, with an active UK NMC pin
  • Demonstrated experience in a deputy nurse manager role within a care home setting
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in mental health nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for resident and staff interactions
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make decisions in a fast-paced care home environment
