Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Entry-Level Kitchen Supervisor to collaborate with our Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in overseeing daily culinary operations. This role involves managing kitchen staff, assisting with menu development, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and freshness, and monitoring inventory and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting kitchen operations, including food service and team management as needed.
  • Providing mentorship to junior kitchen staff in areas such as line cooking, food preparation, and plating techniques.
  • Overseeing all food preparation and presentation to uphold quality and restaurant standards.
  • Collaborating with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff capabilities, and training initiatives.
  • Ensuring that food storage units comply with standards and are consistently well-maintained.
  • Coordinating with the restaurant management team regarding supply orders, budget management, and kitchen efficiency.
  • Guaranteeing that the entire kitchen team adheres to quality, hygiene, and cleanliness protocols.
  • Assisting in managing food inventory and stock ordering.
  • Ensuring that patrons receive exceptional quality meals.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about culinary arts, with a particular interest in local Scottish cuisine and the use of regional ingredients being a plus.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a Junior Sous Chef role.
  • A willingness to relocate to a vibrant culinary environment.
