About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Albyn Hospitality Enterprise. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for managing daily kitchen activities, overseeing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the kitchen operation, including food service and managing the kitchen team when required
  • Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
  • Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
  • Work with the Head Chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
  • Verify that food storage units meet standards and are consistently well-managed
  • Coordinate with the restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing
  • Ensure the entire kitchen team adheres to quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
  • Assist with managing the food inventory and ordering stock
  • Ensure customers receive excellent quality food
Requirements
  • Dedicated and passionate about food, with a focus on utilizing local produce
  • Inventive and able to come up with ideas and daily specials
  • At least two years of experience in a Sous Chef position
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
