Seeking an Experienced Key Stage 2 Support Assistant

We are in search of enthusiastic and qualified Key Stage 2 Support Assistants who are committed to enhancing children's educational experiences and personal growth.

  • Work Schedule: Full-time, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Compensation: £13.50 per hour
  • Focus: Key Stage 2
  • Location: Hyndburn, Lancashire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a nurturing and supportive environment to build rapport with students.
  • Engage with families and caregivers to share insights regarding student progress.
  • Provide assistance to all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Conduct small group interventions to support learning.
  • Collaborate closely with the Class Teacher and other educational professionals to improve student outcomes.
  • Support classroom management and implement effective behavior management techniques.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Participate in the broader school community and its activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with children, ideally in an educational environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting Key Stage 2 students.
  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Possession of Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • Experience in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

All stated pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
