About the Role

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to support our successful teaching assistant team. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work across the curriculum in either Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4 as part of an experienced team of Teaching Assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the educational aims of the school by working with pupils in the classroom and in our Hub, nurture provision and Learning Support Area - The Base.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral and inclusion teams to secure the best levels of pupil progress and achievement.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Support the development of pupils' independence in the classroom, based on teacher direction.
  • Work with the school's SENDCo, TA and pastoral teams to secure the best levels of pupil progress and achievement.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in schools, in either secondary or primary settings, and with young people with SEND.
  • Ability to form positive working relationships in all aspects of the role.
  • High aspirations for all learners with SEND.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
