SEN Support Assistant – Full-Time Position

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic support assistant to become an integral part of our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster strong relationships with students, educators, and families to facilitate optimal learning experiences for our children.

Full-Time Commitment – Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Compensation: £15 per hour

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in addressing the unique needs of students throughout the school.
  • Collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher and other educational professionals, including close cooperation with the SEN Coordinator.
  • Identify and communicate gaps in student learning to the class teacher.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, a positive demeanor, and a genuine passion for education.
  • Conduct intervention sessions with small groups or individual students.
  • Engage actively within the classroom, fostering a stimulating and secure environment.
  • Champion the inclusive ethos of the school on a daily basis.

Qualifications Required:

  • Level 2 or higher relevant qualification.
  • Experience in supporting children or young adults with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.
  • Enhanced DBS check – on the update service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment.
  • Capability to work collaboratively, including with parents.

All quoted pay rates will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
