Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses for children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Develop and deliver training programs for healthcare professionals on child and adolescent mental health
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for CAMHS
About the Team

The Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service Group provides a range of community and inpatient services to a wide population. The team is responsible for providing Perinatal, Child & Adolescent, Adult, Older People, Rehabilitation, Substance Misuse, Forensic, and Learning Disabilities Services. The successful candidate will join a clinical team including consultant psychiatry colleagues, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and a wider medical workforce.

Swansea Bay University Health Board has responsibility for the health of around 390,000 people in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea areas. We are a University Health Board working in partnership with Swansea University, Swansea School of Medicine, the School of Health Science, and the Institute of Life Science. The Health Board is part of A Regional Collaboration for Health (ARCH), which is a partnership with Hywel Dda UHB and Swansea University. Aimed at improving the wellbeing and wealth of South West Wales.

Requirements
  • Registered with the GMC
  • Licensed to practice
  • On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview
Desirable Criteria
  • Further relevant degree/diploma
  • Teaching qualification/Higher qualification in medical education
