About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service Group. The successful candidate will work within the community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children and adolescents with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses for children and adolescents with mental health needs
  • Develop and deliver training programs for healthcare professionals on child and adolescent mental health
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for CAMHS
About the Team

The Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Service Group provides a range of community and inpatient services to a wide population. The team is responsible for providing Perinatal, Child & Adolescent, Adult, Older People, Rehabilitation, Substance Misuse, Forensic, and Learning Disabilities Services. The successful candidate will join a clinical team including consultant psychiatry colleagues, nurses, psychologists, therapists, and a wider medical workforce.

Requirements
  • Registered with the GMC
  • Licensed to practice
  • On Specialist Register with GMC as a specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or eligible for CCT within 6 months of date of interview
Desirable Criteria
  • Further relevant degree/diploma
  • Teaching qualification/Higher qualification in medical education
