**About the Role**
Antony James Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance function, you will be responsible for managing and organizing financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain financial records, including spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers, and journals.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Verify and reconcile financial transactions, including payments, amounts, and records.
- Process and manage petty cash transactions, tracking expenses and ensuring accuracy.
- Monitor and control credit and debt, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies.
- Reconcile finance accounts and direct debits, ensuring balances match records.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and regulations.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commercially focused, with a clear understanding of business impact.
- Proactive approach, with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
