**About the Role**

Antony James Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance function, you will be responsible for managing and organizing financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain financial records, including spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers, and journals.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Verify and reconcile financial transactions, including payments, amounts, and records.
  • Process and manage petty cash transactions, tracking expenses and ensuring accuracy.
  • Monitor and control credit and debt, ensuring timely payments and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Reconcile finance accounts and direct debits, ensuring balances match records.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and regulations.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commercially focused, with a clear understanding of business impact.
  • Proactive approach, with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
