About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Research Fellow in Hepatology to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care and advancing the field of hepatology through research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical service provision and training in hepatology, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of clinical services.
  • Conduct translational research projects, working closely with the research group to design, implement, and evaluate studies that address key questions in hepatology.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical trials, working closely with the research team to ensure the successful delivery of studies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of clinical governance programs.
  • Contribute to the audit and quality improvement programs, working closely with the research team to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for implementation.
Requirements
  • Registrable medical qualification and full registration with the GMC/GDC with License to Practice.
  • MRCP or equivalent and completion of CMT/IMT.
  • Registrar or equivalent training in gastroenterology and/or hepatology (ST4 level or above).
  • Understanding of the principles of medical audit and quality improvement and experience of undertaking audit projects.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with medical and paramedical staff.
