Spire Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Administrator to become a vital part of our professional team. The successful candidate will assist the Health and Safety Officer in the coordination and execution of Health, Safety, and Risk management strategies across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all administrative tasks related to the Health & Safety Management System
  • Gather and analyze health and safety incidents from reporting systems, including identifying trends and near misses
  • Redirect general inquiries received by the Health and Safety Officer to appropriate team members
  • Handle telephone communications, ensuring inquiries are addressed efficiently and professionally
  • Update and distribute local health and safety policies and arrangements as necessary
  • Maintain the Hospital Wide Action Plan spreadsheet and follow up on outstanding actions as directed
  • Administer Health & Safety Flash alerts, ensuring timely responses from departments
  • Oversee records for Health & Safety training, assist with course registrations, and issue certificates
  • Notify the Health and Safety Officer of any delays in managing actions or risk assessments
  • Accurately document and distribute minutes from all relevant meetings
  • Support the Health and Safety Officer in conducting quarterly health and safety inspections
  • Ensure adequate induction and training arrangements for health and safety
  • Coordinate safety training sessions and monitor mandatory eLearning compliance
  • Assist with health and safety inquiries arising from internal and external audits

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare environment
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualifications
  • At least 3 years of administrative experience
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Risk legislation
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite to fulfill job requirements
  • Ability to effectively manage competing pressures and priorities
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent
