Health & Safety Administrator | Spire Healthcare | Competitive Salary | Full-Time | Permanent

Spire Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Administrator to enhance our established team. The ideal candidate will assist the Health and Safety Officer in executing and managing the Health, Safety, and Risk initiatives across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all administrative tasks related to the Health & Safety Management System.
  • Gather and analyze Health & Safety incidents from reporting systems, identifying trends and near misses.
  • Direct general inquiries to appropriate members of the health and safety team as necessary.
  • Professionally handle telephone communications, ensuring messages are accurately conveyed.
  • Update and distribute local health and safety policies and arrangements as needed.
  • Maintain the Hospital Wide Action Plan spreadsheet and follow up on pending actions as instructed.
  • Administer Health & Safety Flash alerts, ensuring timely responses from departments.
  • Oversee records for Health & Safety training, assisting with course registrations and certificate issuance.
  • Notify the Health and Safety Officer of any delays in managing actions or risk assessments.
  • Accurately document and distribute minutes from all relevant meetings.
  • Support the Health and Safety Officer during quarterly health and safety inspections.
  • Assist in coordinating adequate induction and training programs related to health and safety.
  • Organize safety training sessions and monitor mandatory eLearning compliance.
  • Aid in addressing health and safety inquiries from internal and external audits.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare environment.
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualifications.
  • At least 3 years of administrative experience.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Risk legislation.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications to fulfill job requirements.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing demands and priorities.
  • Proactive attitude with self-motivation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent
