Spire Healthcare Ltd is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Administrator to enhance our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assist the Health and Safety Officer in the execution and management of Health, Safety, and Risk initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all administrative tasks related to the Health & Safety Management System.
  • Compile and analyze Health & Safety incidents from reporting systems, identifying trends and near misses.
  • Direct general inquiries received by the Health and Safety Officer to appropriate team members.
  • Handle and route telephone communications to the relevant Health & Safety personnel, ensuring professional and efficient service.
  • Update and disseminate local health and safety policies and arrangements as necessary.
  • Maintain the Hospital Wide Action Plan spreadsheet and follow up on outstanding actions as instructed by the Health and Safety Officer.
  • Administer Health & Safety Flash alerts, ensuring timely responses to the central health and safety team and compiling departmental feedback.
  • Oversee records for Health & Safety training, assist with course registrations, and issue certificates as needed.
  • Notify the Health and Safety Officer of any delays in managing actions or risk assessments.
  • Accurately document and distribute minutes from all relevant meetings.
  • Support the Health and Safety Officer in conducting quarterly health and safety inspections throughout the hospital.
  • Assist in ensuring adequate induction and training arrangements for health and safety.
  • Coordinate safety training sessions and monitor mandatory eLearning compliance.
  • Provide assistance with health and safety inquiries arising from internal and external audits.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in a similar role within a healthcare environment.
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualifications.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Risk legislation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to fulfill job requirements.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing demands and priorities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Permanent
