Exciting Opportunity for an Accounts Support Specialist

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Support Specialist to become part of a thriving organization within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the efficient execution of the month-end procedures, which includes the posting of month-end documentation, coordinating with various departments to ensure all transactions are reconciled, and minimizing unallocated funds, along with any other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager.
  • Prepare and evaluate reports for dissemination across the organization, ensuring accurate data compilation and monthly presentation.
  • Investigate data for discrepancies and bring these to attention as part of the reporting package.
  • Work in conjunction with the Human Resources department to accurately process payroll, including pension and employee benefit disbursements, while providing assistance to staff and collaborating with the payroll service provider to address any inquiries.
  • Manage the recording of payments received from clients, which encompasses bank transfers, financial institutions, and card transactions.
  • Lead the Credit Control function, generating and analyzing data to create reports for the broader organization.
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required.

Qualifications:

To excel in this Accounts Support Specialist position, candidates should ideally possess:

  • Strong analytical capabilities with the proficiency to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with Power BI is also advantageous.
  • An AAT qualification or progress towards it, or equivalent professional experience.
