Prisons Programme Coordinator

Job PurposeWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Prisons Programme Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of Street Soccer programmes, SCQF qualifications, and activities within several prisons across Scotland. They will engage meaningfully with socially disadvantaged adults and young people, preparing them for liberation from the criminal justice system and providing support post-release to engage with Street Soccer programmes and partners.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Deliver Street Soccer programmes, SCQF qualifications, and activities within several prisons across Scotland.
- Engage with socially disadvantaged adults and young people, preparing them for liberation and providing support post-release.
- Establish and maintain key relationships vital to programme delivery.
- Provide leadership, support, and mentoring to players, sessional workers, and volunteers.
- Work with colleagues to deliver regional and national events.
- Manage and monitor health and safety, including risk assessments.
- Effectively manage resources to ensure programme delivery is efficient and effective.
- Create, update, and maintain accurate records of programme delivery, support, and referrals.
- Ensure effective communication across partners.
- Contribute to the development of the organisation and participate in internal meetings and forums.
- Represent Street Soccer at external meetings and networks.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who enjoys working in a challenging but rewarding environment. They will be enthusiastic and committed to supporting the overall aims and objectives of Street Soccer Scotland.
