Senior Receptionist

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Senior Receptionist to join our team at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. As a key member of our reception team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our reception area.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the reception team, including answering telephone calls, greeting patients, and responding to queries.
- Manage the reception area, including maintaining a high level of organization and ensuring that all necessary documents and equipment are readily available.
- Coordinate meetings and appointments, including making room bookings and sending reminders to staff and patients.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, including scanning documents and sending emails.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, including SystmOne and other relevant systems.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with the reception team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the reception area.
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external agencies.
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of SystmOne and other relevant healthcare systems.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a minimum of 27 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays, increasing after 5 years and 10 years to a maximum of 33 days. We also offer a range of training and development opportunities to support your career growth and progression.
