Job Summary:

Lancaster University is seeking a Disability and Inclusive Practice Adviser to join its Student Wellbeing Services team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support for students disclosing a disability and help students to have positive, equitable experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert information, advice, and guidance to students, academic and professional services staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Assess and coordinate the academic disability support requirements of students, ensuring an integrated and consistent approach to disability.
  • Develop and implement inclusive practice across all university departments, promoting positive experiences for students.
  • Work in partnership with faculties and academic departments to ensure discipline and disability-specific adjustments, interventions, and awareness raising.
  • Develop specialist knowledge in one or more nominated area of expertise, with support provided to enable the development of this expertise.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive positive change at Lancaster University. The Disability and Inclusive Practice Service team assesses and coordinates the academic disability support requirements of over 3000 disabled students each year.
