Lancaster University is seeking two dedicated Disability and Inclusive Practice Advisers to join our Student Wellbeing Services team.

In these vital roles, you will play a key part in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. Your expertise will directly impact the academic success and overall well-being of over 3000 students annually.

  • Provide Comprehensive Support: You will deliver high-quality guidance and support to students with disabilities, ensuring they have access to the resources and accommodations they need to thrive academically.
  • Champion Inclusive Practices: You will actively promote equitable experiences and inclusive practices across the university, collaborating with academic and professional staff to create a welcoming and accessible learning environment for all.
  • Coordinate Academic Support: You will assess and coordinate academic disability support, working closely with students to develop personalized plans that meet their unique needs.
  • Develop Specialist Expertise: You will have the opportunity to specialize in designated areas within disability support, deepening your knowledge and contributing to best practices within the field.
  • Foster Collaboration: You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners, to ensure a holistic and supportive approach to disability services.

Two Positions Available:

  • Permanent Full-Time Role
  • Fixed-Term Maternity Cover Role

Additional Responsibilities: You will also contribute to our partnership with Frontline for social work training, providing valuable insights and support to aspiring social workers.
