1. Overview of the Department

The Marketing division is integral to a variety of dynamic and significant initiatives at the club, collaborating with multiple departments daily to achieve collective objectives.

Recently, the team has successfully launched the new club emblem and brand, introduced the club's inaugural Adidas kit, and activated promotional efforts in Times Square, New York, during the club's pre-season tour to the USA. Each day presents unique challenges and opportunities.

To ensure continued progress on the field, the commercial division must also advance off the field. Therefore, the marketing team is looking to enhance its capabilities by bringing on a Commercial Marketing Manager to propel several essential commercial initiatives for the club.

2. Role Responsibilities

As the Club embarks on its inaugural UEFA Champions League journey and celebrates its 150th anniversary, the marketing team seeks a dedicated and skilled Commercial Marketing Manager to help navigate this exciting period. You will play a pivotal role in realizing the potential of transformative changes within the club.

Your responsibilities will include the comprehensive management of fully integrated marketing campaigns for all club commercial offerings, including (but not limited to) Hospitality/Premium, Ticketing, Retail, Memberships, and non-matchday events & tours.

You will oversee the annual marketing campaign calendar, ensuring that all initiatives are communicated throughout the organization and delivered consistently across all platforms. Additionally, you will measure, analyze, and report on the performance of all campaigns across the Club. A key aspect of your role will also involve the creation and execution of significant activations/campaigns to commemorate the club's 150th anniversary.

3. Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable experience in a comparable product marketing position, showcasing a proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership over projects to meet objectives. Experience in optimizing B2B and High-Net worth B2C campaign strategies is essential.

You should have the capability to design, manage, and execute integrated marketing campaigns utilizing a comprehensive range of marketing tools and channels. A solid understanding of digital/social best practices, marketing insights, CRM, branding, and the broader resources within the marketing department is crucial to ensure the full realization of capabilities for every campaign.

You will work both independently and collaboratively, fostering relationships at all levels within the organization. Exceptional verbal communication skills are required, ensuring clarity and accuracy in interactions with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities is essential. Creativity, attention to detail, and strong analytical/research skills are also vital.

Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as the Club's requirements may include matchday working, evenings, weekends, and other stadium events.
