Job Title: Head of Commercial

About the Role:

The Head of Commercial will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies that accelerate growth and income for Pertemps Network Group through various partnership offerings. This role involves conducting market research, leading the commercial team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to all partners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Commercial Strategies: Create and develop a commercial strategy that integrates multiple partnership offerings into a cohesive proposition.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify and exploit commercial opportunities (e.g., expansion, business development).
  • Partnership Sales Activities: Manage and drive partnership sales activities to meet company goals and objectives, aiming to accelerate growth and income.
  • Business Development: Ensure high standards of business development by regularly reviewing and updating the acquisition plan across all partner categories.
  • Partner Engagement: Ensure high levels of engagement with all partners, delivering agreed benefits consistently and maintaining quality service levels.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with diverse teams (marketing, inward investment, tourism, etc.) to ensure effective coordination.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of commercial activities using key metrics.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Prepare and present performance reports to senior management and work with the Finance and Commercial Director to set targets and budgets for the Commercial Partnerships.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the commercial team, setting clear direction and accountability.
  • Continuous Development: Foster a culture of continuous personal development, ensuring high performance and motivation.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Commercial Experience: Proven experience as a commercial director/head of commercial or in a relevant role.
  • Sales and Marketing: Proven experience in sales and/or marketing, managing relationships with key partners.
  • Market Research: In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis.
  • Financial Management: Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Evidence of continuous professional development is desirable.
  • Leadership and Communication: Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, self-motivated, and deadline-driven. Excellent organisational and leadership skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Network and Influencer: Strong networker and influencer with a passion for building partner relationships at all levels.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Track Record: Proven track record of securing six-figure sum corporate partnerships.
  • Complex Partnerships: Experience in developing complex corporate partnerships with multiple budgets, deliverables, and key contacts.
  • Communication and Presentation: Excellent written, presentation, and pitching skills.
  • Network and Influence: Strong networker and influencer with a passion for building partner relationships at all levels.
