About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team at Shorterm Group. As a Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and assisting the Commercial Department and project team to maximize profit and reduce risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 3 Quantity Surveyors (QSs) and provide guidance and support to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Actively manage commercial issues and deal with clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Interact regularly with clients, Commercial Directors, Project Managers, QS teams, internal QS teams, subcontractors, and procurement teams.
Requirements:
  • Essential qualifications: Degree
  • Desirable qualifications: RICS or The Civil Engineering Surveyors member
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Commercial Manager, running a team of at least 2 QSs
  • Skills: Proficient in using Excel as a super user, experience with NEC and FIDIC contracts, and knowledge of the whole lifecycle of a large construction project
  • Software: Oracle
