Job Summary
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Supplier Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in supplier management and risk mitigation to work with a leading bank in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of around 12 tech/IT suppliers to ensure their needs are met and risks are mitigated.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement and legal teams.
- Identify and address potential risks, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
- Engage in contract management, ensuring that all agreements are up-to-date and aligned with company objectives.
Requirements
- Strong experience in supplier management and risk mitigation is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Procurement skills are not essential, but knowledge of procurement processes would be beneficial.
- Experience managing a large workload in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in the financial sector is desirable, but not essential.
- Knowledge of supplier management policy and frameworks, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
- Experience with stakeholder management, including the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
