Are you a seasoned HR professional with a background in the public sector?

Our organization, Portfolio HR & Reward, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Consultant to join our team on a temporary basis.

In this role, you will take on responsibilities that blend the functions of a Senior HR Consultant and a Team Leader for HR Advisors, Assistants, and Trainees.

Your duties will also include acting as a deputy for the Deputy HR Team Manager or Strategic HR Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee relations, including disciplinary actions and grievance procedures.
  • Develop and implement employment policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to organizational design, talent acquisition, and succession planning.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a human resources setting, providing guidance to various management levels.
  • Proficient knowledge of employee relations processes, with a track record of managing complex ER cases, including disciplinary actions, absence reviews, capability assessments, and grievances.
  • Current understanding of employment legislation, its legal ramifications, and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, capable of managing a diverse caseload in accordance with service policies and protocols.
