Job Summary
The University of the West of Scotland is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Student Support Coordinator. This role is a key part of our student-facing team, responsible for providing exceptional support to our students through various communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize a range of approaches, including face-to-face, phone, chat, and email, to provide a responsive and customer-focused service to students.
- Assist in the production of reports for senior management to ensure that our processes and procedures are effective and efficient.
- Use initiative and autonomy to provide day-to-day support and information to students, responding proactively to non-routine, sensitive, or complex customer enquiries.
- Organize and prepare resources for students on behalf of the university, such as letters and requested information.
- Consistently meet and strive to exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to response times, resolution rates, student satisfaction, and other service metrics.
Requirements
- School, college, or university qualifications.
- Excellent customer service or student service experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Helpdesk-style experience.
- Working with customer service or workflow-style customer systems.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
