About the Role

The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the Project Manager and Building Improvement Programme (BIP) Team to deliver new projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of defined refurbishment projects.
  • Manage and coordinate site meetings and discussions throughout the contract period to liaise with construction professionals and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage daily activities on the ground on allocated projects, including key stakeholder liaison, site meetings, quality checking, and sign-off.
  • Monitor all project programmes.
  • Work closely with Operations Teams to ensure projects are delivered to the required standard.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal Operational and Property counterparts.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality and health and safety standards.
  • Communicate and collaborate closely with Capital Projects Team to ensure timely decisions are made.
  • Report all updates as defined by the Project Manager.
  • Deliver budgets as defined per project, supported by the Commercial Team.

Requirements

  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Management experience in property/estates management roles.
  • Experience of managing within budgetary constraints.
  • Ability to manage across multiple teams/disciplines.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to deal confidently with and support senior managers.
  • Effective communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal with change and cope with the rigors of a fast-paced summer refurbishment programme.
  • Experience of budgetary management.
