Candela Academy is a dynamic education company that offers personalized support for secondary school students and parents in the UK. Our services include academic mentorship and online tutoring for (I)GCSEs, A-Levels, and Extended Project Qualifications.

Job Role: As a Student Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of Candela Academy, ensuring each student's success. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the academic journey of your designated students by coordinating the team of tutors and mentors, managing administrative and operational procedures, and acting as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the team of tutors and mentors to facilitate the student's academic journey.
  • Manage administrative and operational procedures to support students.
  • Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keep up to date on student progress and report back to the team regularly.
  • Proactively manage and foresee issues by resolving complaints or escalations in a timely manner.
  • Regularly research and stay up to date on the UK education sector, providing the wider Candela team with updates on relevant information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from a UK or US university.
  • Fluency in English, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Customer-oriented thinking.
  • Strong research abilities.
  • Highly technologically proficient.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in mainstream office software, including Google Workplace and Microsoft Office.

Bonus: Prior experience in a customer service, project management, or other transferable role, knowledge of the UK education system and academic cycles, prior experience in the education industry, strong academic background and profile, and fluency in Mandarin.
