Job Title: Chaplain

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Chaplain to join our team at Methodist Homes. As a Chaplain, you will be responsible for providing spiritual care and support to our residents, as well as building relationships with local faith communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide spiritual care and support to residents, including leading Christian worship services and providing pastoral care.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local faith communities to ensure a strong network of support for our residents.
  • Develop and implement programs to promote spiritual well-being and provide opportunities for residents to engage in spiritual activities.
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in spiritual care.

Requirements:

  • Ordained minister or lay person in good standing with their Christian community.
  • Experience in providing pastoral care and leading services.
  • Empathetic understanding of spiritual aspects of ageing and dementia.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
