Job Responsibilities

The Night Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Leading and supervising a team of support workers to ensure the needs of service users are met according to their individual support plan in line with company policy and procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders to compliment and contribute to the positive reputation of the company.
  • Providing line management to a designated team of staff within a specified group at a location or group of locations within the allocated division.
  • Undertaking any reasonable traveling requirements to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role.
  • Ensuring that documentation held within the designated location is completed accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner in line with good practice and defensible documentation.
  • Ensuring that the environment and resources are all in good order and reporting any defects or concerns to the appropriate line manager.
  • Competently using computer systems to enable data to be updated, managed, and reported within the electronic systems utilised by the company.
  • Always promoting service user choice, rights, and inclusion, thereby enabling them to meet goals and outcomes.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NVQ/QCF level 3 HSC or willingness to work towards within 12 months.
  • Previous experience of working in a care setting.
  • Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety, and food hygiene.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

The following qualifications and skills are desirable:

  • IT skills, including the ability to open and send emails using Outlook, the ability to use Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate the internet.
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively on all levels.
  • Numeracy skills to meet financial management responsibilities.
  • Ability to use your own initiative and make informed decisions.
  • Good time-keeping, time management, and attendance skills.
  • Travelling requirements to meet both service user and Trust needs.
