Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Adoption Support Social Worker, providing vital support to adoptive families and children in need.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to adoptive families, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of adoptive families' support needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing tailored plans to address these.
  • Work closely with children and families who have complex needs, providing therapeutic support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families.
Requirements
  • A Social Work Qualification (degree or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience of working as a Social Worker or having had a student social work placement with children and families.
  • Excellent understanding of early life experiences, such as trauma or abuse, and their impact on children and young people.
  • Ability to analyze complex information, make recommendations, and informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing a caseload and working to deadlines.
