Cardiac Operations Coordinator | Full Time | Permanent

Spire Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Coordinator to enhance our Imaging Department, specifically within the Cardiac sector. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to advance their administrative expertise in a private healthcare setting.

As a vital member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding patient administration services within the radiology department. Your responsibilities will include managing an efficient booking system and adhering to established protocols, as well as ensuring the accurate completion of audit materials and the distribution of radiology reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery and upkeep of a streamlined patient administration service within the facility.
  • Provide timely and courteous information to patients, consultants, and other relevant departments.
  • Maintain an efficient booking system for all patients utilizing SAP.
  • Develop and sustain an up-to-date understanding of Spire and other insurers' products, policies, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the pre-authorisation team or medical insurers to confirm funding prior to patient admission.
  • Respond to inquiries from patients, the public, and consultants promptly and courteously, maintaining accurate records of all communications.
  • Maintain both electronic and manual filing systems with precision.
  • Provide guidance on medical coding to ensure compliance with insurer guidelines.
  • Process patient referrals and related documentation, confirming details with patients, consultants, and secretaries as necessary.
  • Work closely with patients, consultants, and clinical teams regarding any special requirements or requests.
  • Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling all patient, consultant, and staff information.
  • Ensure that all patient information is managed in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Spire policies.
  • Engage in training and development to acquire the skills necessary for effective role performance.
  • Perform any additional duties that reasonably align with the responsibilities of the position.

  • A highly organized individual capable of managing a diverse workload.
  • Experience in an administrative role or similar environment is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • A collaborative team player comfortable interacting with a diverse range of individuals.

Working Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, including a rotational Saturday schedule.

Contract Type: Permanent
