In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting the multi-disciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient administration services. Your responsibilities will include managing an efficient booking system and adhering to established protocols, while also ensuring the precise completion of necessary audit documentation and the distribution of imaging reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery and upkeep of a streamlined patient administration service within the facility.
  • Provide timely and courteous information to patients, healthcare professionals, and other relevant departments.
  • Maintain an effective booking system for all patients utilizing SAP.
  • Develop and sustain comprehensive knowledge of Spire and other insurers' offerings, policies, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the pre-authorisation team or medical insurers to confirm funding prior to patient admission.
  • Address inquiries from patients, the public, and healthcare professionals promptly and professionally, maintaining accurate records of all communications.
  • Maintain both electronic and manual filing systems with precision.
  • Offer guidance on medical coding to ensure compliance with insurer guidelines.
  • Process patient referrals and related documentation, confirming details with patients and healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Work closely with patients and clinical teams regarding any special requirements or requests.
  • Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling all patient and staff information.
  • Ensure that all patient information is managed in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Spire policies.
  • Engage in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Perform any additional duties that align with the general responsibilities of the position.

Candidate Profile:

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in an administrative role or similar environment is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • A collaborative team player, comfortable interacting with a diverse range of individuals.

Working Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, including a Saturday rotation.
