Cardiac Operations Coordinator | Full Time | Permanent

Spire Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Coordinator to join our Imaging Department, specifically focusing on the Cardiac sector. This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to enhance their administrative capabilities within a private healthcare setting.

In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting the multi-disciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient administration within the radiology department. Your responsibilities will include providing an efficient booking service while adhering to established protocols. Additionally, you will ensure the accurate completion of all necessary audit materials and the distribution of radiology reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery and upkeep of an effective patient administration service within the facility.
  • Provide timely and courteous information to patients, consultants, and other relevant departments.
  • Maintain an efficient booking system for all patients utilizing SAP.
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of Spire and other insurers' products, policies, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the pre-authorisation team or medical insurers to confirm funding prior to patient admission.
  • Respond to inquiries from patients, the public, and consultants promptly and professionally, maintaining accurate records of communications.
  • Accurately maintain both electronic and manual filing systems within the department.
  • Provide guidance on medical coding to ensure compliance with insurer guidelines.
  • Process patient referrals and related documentation, confirming details with patients, consultants, and secretaries as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with patients, consultants, and clinical teams regarding any special requirements or individual requests.
  • Uphold a high standard of confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling all patient, consultant, and staff information.
  • Ensure that all patient information is managed in accordance with the Data Protection Act and Spire policies.
  • Engage in any required training or development to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for the role.
  • Perform any other duties that reasonably fall within the general nature and level of responsibility of the position.

Candidate Profile:

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Experience in an administrative role or similar environment is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • A collaborative team player, confident in engaging with a diverse range of individuals.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, including a rotational Saturday shift.
