Role Purpose:

Reporting to the National Account Manager, this position is pivotal in shaping and executing retail deployment strategies for assigned accounts within Retail Channels. You will also assist in achieving Annual Business Plans as necessary, managing relationships with key National Account retailers.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and lead strategies to effectively implement transition plans within accounts, ensuring a 'World Class' retailer experience.
  • Support the National Account Manager with their accounts while taking ownership of your own, managing trade marketing budgets, driving sales, maintaining in-store standards, and ensuring compliance.
  • Act as the customer advocate internally and represent Allwyn externally, providing retail insights to inform and tailor brand strategies for effective execution.
  • Build and maintain a cross-functional stakeholder network, fostering strong relationships across operations, commercial, and project management teams to facilitate successful transitions.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders within the specified National Account, navigating a comprehensive contact matrix.
  • Gain a deep understanding of retailer store development processes to aid strategic planning and derive insights for expanding the National Lottery's presence.
  • Assist the National Account Manager in developing a Joint Business Plan to meet sales and profit targets for designated customers.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of individual Retailer Business Plans alongside the National Account Manager, aligning with the Allwyn Retail Annual Business Plan.
  • Manage daily tasks within the account to ensure foundational elements of Lottery category management are established.
  • Lead the designated account in delivering mandatory training to staff, developing appropriate solutions in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive communication plan for stores to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and informed, which is critical for Allwyn's success.
  • Analyze account performance and strategy to uncover insights, identify opportunities, and implement initiatives to enhance sales and profitability.
  • Demonstrate the value of the National Lottery to retailers, highlighting ways to maximize business opportunities.
  • Oversee the execution of participant protection initiatives in collaboration with designated customers.
  • Identify opportunities for product development and placement within assigned retailers.
  • Present concepts and ideas effectively to key stakeholders, negotiating as necessary.
  • Explore expansion opportunities within the retailer, optimizing product ranges and ensuring maximum brand visibility.

Key Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated understanding of retailer needs and business strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of competitors within the industry.
  • Proven ability to build and leverage business relationships.
  • Successful track record in account and relationship management.
  • Solid understanding of the retail marketplace.
  • Effective presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including report writing.
  • Experience in managing retailer interactions successfully.
  • Ability to analyze financial and business performance, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Proficient in Google and Microsoft Office applications.
