Position Overview

The Clinical Support Administrator plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional administrative assistance to the clinical teams within the organization. This includes collaboration with various departments such as Support and Wellbeing, Community Services, and the Inpatient Unit. The department is currently enhancing its EMIS processes and reporting systems to ensure consistent documentation across all teams.

The successful applicant will possess outstanding communication abilities, ideally with a strong background in EMIS, ensuring the efficient management of clinical information within the system.

A qualification in English is essential to produce high-quality documentation that adheres to corporate standards, with proper formatting, spelling, and grammar.

The remuneration for this role is competitive, with a salary of WTE £22,425 or an hourly rate pro rata.

Main Responsibilities

Key Performance Areas

  • Deliver high-quality clinical administrative support across various services, including Support and Wellbeing, Community Services, and Inpatient Unit.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of clinical data into the EMIS system.
  • Facilitate daily referral screening meetings to manage and document patient referrals and discharges efficiently.
  • Provide administrative assistance for outpatient clinics, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including department heads and medical professionals.
  • Prepare patient-related correspondence to the highest standards, ensuring timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate filing and archiving of patient records.
  • Generate clinical activity and data reports for internal and external use as required.
  • Utilize various Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and email.
  • Manage the ordering and distribution of stationery supplies for clinical teams.
  • Assist in organizing meetings and educational events, including scheduling, room bookings, and arranging necessary equipment.
  • Coordinate educational initiatives for clinical services, including tracking attendance.
  • Produce high-quality documents that meet corporate standards for formatting and grammar.
  • Support and train volunteers assisting in the administrative department.
  • Ensure compliance with information governance policies and best practices.
  • Provide assistance to other departments as needed.
