About the Role

The Research Support Officer role is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical research studies at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

As a Research Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the research team, ensuring the smooth operation of clinical trials and studies. This will involve coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing records and documentation, and maintaining accurate data entry.

You will work closely with the research team to prepare and review study documentation, ensuring compliance with legislation, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organized, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the research team, including coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with the preparation and review of study documentation
  • Collaborate with the research team to ensure the smooth operation of clinical trials and studies
Requirements
  • GCSE English & Mathematics Level 4 (C grade) or above
  • NVQ 3 / two A-levels or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to work across different hospital sites
