About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Radiology Department as a Clinical Support Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing support to our clinical teams and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Non-Radiographic Duties: Provide support to our diagnostic imaging service across all East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust sites.
  • Work as Part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide the highest standards of patient care.
  • Support Patient Care: Assist with moving patients, escorting patients and relatives, and positioning non-ambulant patients for imaging examinations.
  • Reception Duties: Register and process patient details onto the computer, operating radiology and associated hospital computer systems.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Work flexibly between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Sunday, with time off in the week to compensate for weekend working.
Person Specification
  • Qualifications: 5 GCSE passes (A-C/9-4) or equivalent qualification, basic computer skills.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, IV cannulation training/experience.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication skills, willingness to rotate through all areas of radiology, effective listening skills, clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks.
