Position Overview:

Due to our ongoing success in managing a variety of projects within our growing portfolio, we are looking for an accomplished Architect interested in transitioning into a Bid Manager role.

This position requires a blend of architectural expertise and bid management skills to enhance our bid and tender management processes with robust technical quality assurance and architectural insight. We understand that these skills may not always be found together, and we are committed to providing training and development for the right candidate.

We welcome applications from Architects eager to embrace a Bid Management role and expand their capabilities in this area, as well as from current Bid Managers with backgrounds in Architecture or Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze tender documentation and spearhead the creation of tender proposals.
  • Review and ensure quality control of technical sections of tenders using architectural knowledge.
  • Conduct research to grasp project scope, objectives, and limitations.
  • Compile a comprehensive list of clarifications, exclusions, and compliance requirements for each project.
  • Collaborate with project managers to integrate their insights into the proposal.
  • Organize and assemble all necessary documents for tender submissions.
  • Assist in cost and pricing calculations, ensuring alignment with tender requirements.
  • Guarantee that tender submissions adhere to deadlines and comply with all guidelines.
  • Maintain precise records of tender activities, communications, and documentation.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Background in architecture or engineering with a solid grasp of architectural principles and project management.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience or understanding of architectural tendering processes.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and practices in architecture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient writing skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and communicate with various stakeholders while meeting competing deadlines.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and InDesign.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering.
