About the Role

As a Proposal Manager in the Ridge London office, you will oversee the Proposal Team and be accountable for leveraging business prospects by efficiently managing the preparation, submission, and follow-up of proposals, tenders, and bids. This entails coordinating with various stakeholders, crafting persuasive content, and leading submissions to secure new business opportunities. The Proposal Manager fosters growth, innovation, and client satisfaction through strategic proposal management and collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Ridge London Office Proposal Team
  • Oversee the complete proposal process from initiation to submission
  • Conduct complex, multidisciplinary proposals
  • Establish internal budgets for each proposal and report on actual expenditures
  • Develop proposal briefing documents for all stakeholders outlining client requirements, project specifics, key deliverables, and timelines
  • Manage assembled proposal teams and contributions from key stakeholders
  • Ensure milestones and deadlines within the proposal process are adhered to, including management of action logs and deliverables
  • Organize relevant meetings with appropriate parties to ensure compliance with deadlines
  • Review proposal documents prior to submission to ensure alignment with client requirements and internal quality assurance processes
  • Gather feedback on submitted proposals and integrate lessons learned into future submissions
  • Utilize materials to promote the Ridge brand and demonstrate added value for clients
  • Assist in refining and enhancing the proposal management process within Ridge and challenge existing practices
  • Maintain responsibility for client communication throughout the tender period alongside the Partner lead, ensuring all post-tender requirements are addressed efficiently and promptly
  • Support Partner leads in managing existing frameworks and identifying new opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of presentations to clients as necessary
  • Maintain a tracker of proposal pipeline and submissions
  • Report on proposal KPIs and success metrics
  • Manage London office social media and collaborate with the central Marketing team
  • Create internal presentations
  • Maintain and update event trackers
  • Attend London office management meetings

Required Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience as an effective manager, capable of leading and motivating a team
  • Ability to engage and influence a diverse range of key stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and deadline-oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in preparing and submitting public sector proposals within the Construction or Professional Services sectors
