Role Summary:

The Assistant Studio Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the photographic studio. This position is pivotal in coordinating and executing the production of seasonal ecommerce assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Studio and Production Manager in overseeing the Barbour Ecommerce Studio.
  • Manage the seasonal studio schedule and ecommerce budgets effectively.
  • Provide training and development for the Photography Manager, Assistant Ecomm Brand Manager, and Junior Producer.
  • Coordinate the booking of models, freelancers, and all studio production activities.
  • Develop a network of freelancers, including creative professionals and production staff, to support the marketing team's needs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all seasonal ecommerce assets, adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with design teams and markets to ensure appropriate visual and commercial representation of products across all channels.
  • Implement and oversee logistical studio processes to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Effectively delegate ad hoc studio requests to maintain project timelines.
  • Monitor and log outgoing costs against the forecasted seasonal budget.
  • Support various markets and the marketing team, particularly in Ecommerce, Digital, and PR, in asset requests and delivery.
  • Lead projects within the studio workflow, securing senior leadership approval for projects and assets.
  • Manage the inventory of studio stock, including the coordination of seasonal stock takes.
  • Facilitate the execution of range directory assets to support seasonal launches.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in a fast-paced fashion retail ecommerce environment.
  • Proficient in on and off-model ecommerce photography.
  • Previous management experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of photography, retouching, and lighting techniques.
  • High proficiency in Photoshop and Capture One.
  • Ability to train others in photographic and retouching techniques.
  • Competent in using MAC operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A self-motivated leader capable of providing and receiving direction.
  • A diligent worker committed to achieving high-quality results.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
