Position Summary:

The role of Assistant Studio Manager is pivotal in ensuring the efficient operation of our in-house photographic studio. This position is designed to oversee the seamless execution of seasonal ecommerce content production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Studio and Production Manager in overseeing the Barbour Ecommerce Studio.
  • Coordinate and manage the seasonal studio timetable and ecommerce financial plans.
  • Lead the training and development of the Photography Manager, Assistant Ecomm Brand Manager, and Junior Producer.
  • Supervise the booking of models, freelancers, and all studio-related production activities.
  • Establish and maintain a network of freelancers across creative and production roles to support the marketing team.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all seasonal ecommerce assets in accordance with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with design teams and markets to ensure accurate visual representation of products across all platforms.
  • Implement and manage logistical studio processes to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Effectively delegate ad hoc studio requests to maintain project timelines.
  • Monitor and document expenses against the projected seasonal budget.
  • Support various markets and the broader marketing team, particularly in Ecommerce, Digital, and PR asset requests.
  • Lead project management within the studio workflow, ensuring senior leadership approval on all projects and assets.
  • Oversee the inventory management of studio stock and coordinate seasonal stock assessments.
  • Facilitate the production and delivery of range directory assets for seasonal launches.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in a fast-paced fashion retail ecommerce setting.
  • Proficient in both on-model and off-model ecommerce photography.
  • Previous management experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of photography, retouching, and lighting techniques.
  • High proficiency in Photoshop and Capture One software.
  • Ability to train others in photographic and retouching skills.
  • Competent in using MAC operating systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel/PPT).
  • A self-driven leader capable of providing and receiving direction.
  • A dedicated professional committed to achieving high-quality results.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
