Fire & Security Systems Project Engineer

Marlowe Fire & Security, a dedicated division within the Marlowe Fire and Security Group, is seeking to expand its workforce by hiring a skilled Project Engineer.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the technical engineering, installation, and management of both small and large-scale projects within the Marlowe portfolio. This role involves meticulous planning and execution of projects while ensuring adherence to deadlines, profitability, and compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

  • Deliver projects within the stipulated time frame and budget
  • Maintain project schedules
  • Process cost documentation for procurement
  • Plan and oversee the necessary labor and materials for project execution
  • Ensure all engineering documentation is assigned to the appropriate engineers and verify that commissioning is completed post-project
  • Provide necessary technical guidance on projects
  • Participate in site meetings as required
  • Supervise engineers and subcontractors as assigned, including managing personnel
  • Oversee the profitability of assigned projects and report to the project manager
  • Manage all health and safety aspects on-site
  • Conduct installation and commissioning of systems and minor works as needed
  • Uphold Marlowe's quality and health, safety, and environmental standards

Intruder Alarm Systems: Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Menvier, Risco

CCTV Systems: Hikvision, Dahua, Bosch, Generic Analogue Systems

Access Control Systems: Paxton, PAC, Salto

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who embody the qualities of a great Marlowe Fire & Security team member, including a positive demeanor, exceptional communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. Specifically, we seek candidates who possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire and security sector
  • Experience managing engineering projects across multiple locations
  • Technical expertise in major systems and projects
  • Proven technical experience coupled with strong interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to travel as necessary to ensure project completion while adhering to Marlowe's health and safety protocols
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and work effectively in both team settings and independently
  • A motivated and enthusiastic attitude towards challenging environments

  • Competitive Salary – £40,000 to £46,000 based on experience
