About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Fire Engineer to join our team at Design Fire Consultants Ltd. As a Senior Fire Engineer, you will play a key role in leading projects and managing technical and commercial aspects of fire engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead fire engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments, prepare detailed reports, and provide expert advice on fire safety strategies.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve our services and deliver exceptional results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement fire safety strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of fire engineering principles, technologies, and methodologies, applying this expertise to drive innovation and excellence in our services.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM field, such as fire engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in fire engineering, with a strong background in project management, technical leadership, and team management.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Have a strong understanding of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards, including the UK's Building Regulations and the Fire Safety Order.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
  • Have a commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
